Renewing Your Mind, Body & Soul
About Us
Our Story
The Three Knot Elephant was created based on the philosophy of healing, connection, and protection. The Three Knot Elephant utilizes the concept of mind, body, and soul. In many African cultures, there is an ancient bracelet that is woven together by elephant hairs. The bracelet being woven together by the elephant hair creates knots surrounded on each side of the bracelet. The Sliding knots on a bracelet symbolize the powerful forces of life. Each bracelet is unique depending on the number of knots that one bracelet has.
For instance, having three knots on a bracelet displays the connection between heaven and earth. The number three contributes to mind, body, and soul. Wearing the bracelet will bring forth prosperity and health. The meaning behind the bracelet is the foundation of the business philosophy. It allows for purpose behind every aspect of this new journey. It remains dedicated to healing and connection. The symbol of an elephant being the business logo is not only due to the bracelet fabric, but from the message that the animal stands for. Elephants are represented as luck, wisdom, guidance, and strength. We believe that the animal correlates to our persona and what we will continue to gain perseverance from.
The Three Knot Elephant allows for the meaning behind its name to transform into the service provided. The focal point is to give each client the same empowerment that the name embodies! Allowing each guest to lean towards their own healing, connection, and protection as much as our name embodies. Through the practice of massage therapy and bodywork, one can be intune with their mind, body, and soul. The first step towards this empowerment is prioritizing ourselves first above all tasks and the powerful forces that life demands. Our body is a temple in which we must care for. The Three Knot Elephant is dedicated to guiding you towards selfcare.

Meet your Massage Therapist & Founder
Hi, I'm Maya!
Cultivating a space for healing is the forefront of my enjoyment in life. While we reside in a society that may be hectic and intended towards others needs/wants, I believe it is imperative to prioritize within. Opening our heart to receive our own caring is vital. As a therapist and previous healthcare worker, I have witnessed how health and well-being is essential. Every person holds the key for ultimate health within. Health is the wisdom of our body and illness is only a message to pause and heal . When a problem manifests itself, the body has the remedy to fix it—we just have to know where and how to search for it.
I created The Three Knot Elephant based on this mindset. Being an advocate for well being and patient care has always been my passion ever since being a young child. Perhaps this came about from several milestones in my life. Whether those inspirations came from saving my parents lives, volunteer work, academic responsibilities, to work demands; the passion for helping one towards ultimate health is nothing short of rewarding. After graduating with my Bachelor of Science (2019) and Master of Science degree (2020), I strived to bring forth more healing on a personal level. Becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist in 2023 has been the greatest gift towards my passion but for my community as well. Providing one with the healing power of touch. I strive to create a safe environment, bring forth a sense of knowledge towards one's health, and encourage self care. Dedicated in honing the skills and insights that I have learned from my educational background and curiosity.

Meet your Massage Therapist
Hi, I'm Mike!
I am a strong advocate for the alignment of the mind, body, and soul. I believe this alignment is essential to cultivating a well-balanced lifestyle and creating a strong foundation for healthy healing. With a deep understanding of the highs and lows of a busy life, my knowledge, experience, and passion for restorative health help relieve daily tension. My goal during bodywork sessions is to encourage deep muscular relaxation externally while fostering internal tranquility of the mind and spirit.
My therapeutic background and passion for helping others achieve their best selves began in early childhood. A desire to see others feel comfortable and happy through all phases of life inspired my personal journey to become a strong pillar of support for those around me. My natural giving instincts have helped my family, friends, and community feel seen, heard, and valued. After graduating in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, with a concentration in Counseling, I sought opportunities to mentor and support children with autism within my community. The deeply rewarding experience of helping others build self-confidence and independence—mentally and spiritually—sparked my eagerness to also support physical well-being. In 2025, I achieved this goal by beginning my journey as a Licensed Massage Therapist. To me, massage is a living work of art, with variations of effleurage gently painting an oasis where the body and mind can retreat and recharge. I aspire to create a safe space for healing while dedicating my knowledge to educating and prioritizing the well-being of all who seek restoration.

Testimonials
"I am a big fan of massages, but never had a couples massage and certainly never had a massage in my own home. Why did I wait so long? I scheduled one for a special occasion and will definitely do so again. Two therapists from the Three Knot Elephant brought all the amenities of a spa into our living room including fresh linens, eye pillows, bolsters, the sounds of the ocean, and complimentary aromatherapy, as they tailored our 60-minute session to our individual preferences. The time flew by quickly, as it always does with a good massage, but the positive effects continued. We could continue to relax because we didn't have to get in a car and drive home. It was heaven. We will not wait for a special occasion to schedule another session. I'm thinking about tomorrow!"
"My colleague introduced me to Maya while I was pregnant. She spoke so highly of her that I had to meet her. And honestly, she truly is the best. Her prenatal massage was awesome and helped me get through those terrible pregnancy backaches and sciatica.
And now that I’m no longer pregnant I can say that her regular/non prenatal massages are equally amazing. Leaves me counting down to my next session. Thank you Maya for your exceptional work and professionalism!"
"I had the absolute pleasure of receiving one of the most amazing massages I have ever received! Maya does an outstanding job with treating your body with such care and attentiveness. I felt so relaxed and at ease, and I swear my body felt completely renewed! Maya has such a gentle presence, and it was a joy to have her work on me. I will trust her every time for my massages!”
"I have had the pleasure of having Maya as my therapist since June 2025. She does not disappoint. I would recommend her services."
